No turtles but plenty of tortoises
Prison Island - Changuu Private Island的点评
点评：Not sure why people write about the conditions the turtles are in because there aren’t any. However there are a significant number of Aldabra tortoises and peacocks. The significance of which is explained by your guide so I won’t spoil the story.
Prison island is reached by small boat - you’ll need your sea legs as the trip can be quite rough in calm weather.
Getting into the ‘attraction’ is quite an experience in itself so be prepared not to cross the line unless you’re told to do so.
The main residence is being converted into a hotel apparently but not are when that is going to happen.
The ‘bar’ and ‘shop’ are in the main quadrant that was used to house the patients and you can see the clear signs of preparation for slaves to be accommodated.
The tortoises age is written on their shells to assist.
A piece of history to remind ourselves on how cruel mankind can be to one another.
