Excellent trip on the Seabird Catamaran Cruise with the Scottish Seabird Centre - well worth it!

点评：Seabird Catamaran Cruise with the Scottish Seabird Centre - visiting the islands of Craigleith & Bass Rock.
Excellent seabird tour. Birds seen were puffins, guillemots, razorbills, Northern Gannets, Kittiwakes & other gulls.
Good length of trip at 1hr 15 mins from boarding to disembarking. Kat (crew) & Selby (skipper) were the centre staff taking us out & did a fantastic job. Kat is very knowledgeable about the birds we were seeing as well as making a point to travel around the boat to talk to visitors. Selby got us very close to Bass Rock to see the gannets up close & was great at safely navigating the boat.
The information on the tour was very interesting but be advised if you have trouble hearing over background noise, I’d sit a little closer to the front as the engine noise & wake at the back of the boat may be a little challenging.
My goal for this tour was to see puffins in the wild - which we saw- but I was equally as impressed with the Northern Gannet colony & very glad we made the decision to go!
Other info - toilets available at the seabird centre & harbour - there is one on the boat but we were told it was a very tiny space. Cafe & shop in the seabird centre as well as the paid seabird discovery centre (which we didn’t have time to do).
