Idyllic and simple, but expensive for larger families

点评：We’ve been going here for years and in terms of atmosphere it is our favourite local campsite. Very relaxed, tranquil and simple - it is just a field with 2 toilets, a tap, 2 sinks and a tiny shop. But it has a great rope swing the kids love, is near a playground and walking distance from ditching for a drink in the pub. The campers are generally friendly and respectful.
We’ve been visiting less and less though as the prices keep going up. A family of 2 adults and 3 kids now costs £110 for 2 nights, which is more than similar nearby sites that have showers, a proper shop, hot water etc. Arriving Friday afternoon after school and leaving Sunday lunchtime - the value for money just isn’t there anymore and the prices don’t feel fair, especially as kids pay the same as adults and it really is just a field.
