点评:Unfortunately, we did not feel that PortAventura Caribe Aquatic Park represented good value for money.
We visited as a family of four and, once admission and the additional costs fast passes were taken into account, the day cost us close to £350. At that price, I expected an exceptional experience. It simply wasn’t.
The biggest issue was the length of the queues. We spent a substantial amount of the first half of the day waiting rather than enjoying the attractions. To avoid the worst of the queues, you effectively need to purchase an additional fast pass, but these are extremely expensive on top of already costly admission tickets. At lunchtime having been on two slides we decided to bite the bullet ... at £50pp...!
No photos to upload aside from the menu pricing discrepancies as whilst the Park sells the waterproof cases for phones - you are categorically not allowed to take phones on any of the attractions.
The rules are incredibly strict, no sunglasses or hats, t-shirts in pools or on slides. Having been to many large water parks in places like Florida these rules seemed overzealous.
My kids struggled not wearing a hat or sunglasses all day!
I understand that major theme parks are busy during the summer, but when a family is paying this much for one day, the standard ticket should provide a reasonable opportunity to experience the rides. It did not feel as though it did.
The queues for food were also enormous. I made the mistake of prebuying a meal plan. Dont bother. You still have to queue and it was actually more 50c expensive to buy in advance than it was in person the day... figure that out?!
The park itself was fine, but nothing about the overall experience justified the total cost. We have visited other family attractions where the day felt much better organised and offered considerably better value.
Unless you are prepared to take a hit on the fast passes, I would give the aquatic park a miss, particularly during the busy summer season. There are plenty of other enjoyable things to do along this part of the Spanish coast that do not involve spending most of the day standing in queues.
