“Excellent” but not for everyone…
冒险港乐园的点评
点评：This is a difficult review to write. Portaventura Resort has given us two, great holidays. One was off peak (and this is important), in 2024, when crowd levels were low to medium, and most things were open and well staffed. The second in 2025, was during peak times, crowd levels were high, and attractions and mazes operated on a weird open/closes seemingly random cycle. What I’m saying is, even on busy days, a lot of food units are closed or understaffed, and attractions such as scare mazes were not guaranteed to open. Further, those that were, had strange opening times where they would close in the middle of the afternoon for no apparent reason. Some would reopen, some wouldn’t. Without scrutinising signs daily, there’s no way of knowing.
And then there’s the queues. Holy moly - they go on forever. And queue jumping is rampant - accepted even. I can’t begin to tell you how frustrating that is to experience. If it’s a busy day and you haven’t ponied up for express passes (and sometimes even if you have) expect a miserable time. In summary - the park has some odd operating procedures that frustrate and stop the park being run efficiently.
But when it does run right, it’s a wonderful park to visit, vastly superior to anything in the UK in terms of theming and immersion. Food costs are reasonable, as is the quality. There are lots of options, but you have to dig into the park to find them as they are spread out and marketed poorly.
One final note - a blue badge will get you an accessibility wristband for you and your family. If you qualify, your experience of the park will be vastly improved. Take the blue badge, and any diagnosis letters you have, to supplement your request. On the whole, we found the accessibility set up friendly and hassle -free.
