DC-3飞机残骸的点评
点评：Located 20km west on the left side of Route 1 from Vik, you can park your car at the designated area for ISK750/ car and payment using Parka apps. Distance from the car park at the main road to the plane wreck is about 3km one way. There is also shuttle bus every 30 minutes, which cost ISK3200/ pax for return ride. Considering the subzero temperature during our trip there, frequent strong wind and unexpected weather condition, we opt for the shuttle ride.
The site was quite interesting as it is the only human-made items existed on the vast area. Added to this, the amazing landscape feature the black sand desert and contrast white ice cap of Mýrdalsjökull glacier, stretches between the Atlantic Ocean and Katla volcano. But sadly, it was unexpectedly that the plane wreck has accumulated numerous damages from natural cause, graffiti, stickers, and other tourists acts.
