点评：AMAZING: Swim and splash in the beautiful remote falls after a wonderful hike through the DR hills. One path opens to the view of the ocean and crosses 2 little shallow streams. Just Be prepared for 30-to-1 hr hike or bit more (depending which entrance you start & there are 4 or 5). The paths are bit rough (rocky but doable) and muddy if recently rained, but they are fairly easy to find and follow just walking (100 pesos entrance and parking 300-500 pesos). We walked …but saw folks riding and many enjoying it. The horses seemed healthy to me and get to rest at the top in the shade while you walk down to the falls (200 stairs or so)… regardless you have to enjoy both the physical journey through the hills, under the trees and across bubbling clear streams as well as the falls at the end.
I loved it and would highly recommend this adventure but plan ahead with good shoes, 2x water and expect a 3-4 hour round trip in the DR weather/heat so bring layers or umbrella, no valuables you will worry about when swimming so you relax and truly soak up the special experience and if you ride…bring enough to tip a guide.
10/10 for me… but this is an excursion you have to be willing to work for! We took a picnic lunch and sat at the quieter 2nd bottom waterfall for over an hour almost alone and un rushed. One of the reasons we declined a guide or horse.
Note: There are several restaurants on the start of the trails and at the top that offer DR food and cold beer too and souveniers.
