点评:I was in the area to go to Dolgoch Falls last year, so a "no brainer" to visit these stunning ruins. Having already been by myself, I wanted to take my friends up to appreciate the history of the place.
There is a decent path up to the castell from the car park but it rises quite steeply, it is made of ridged cement with stones in, so even in the wet, it's got a good grip. However, the path then goes down and can be very muddy. It's not a flip flops walk, you need sturdy footwear. There is a walk down the valley, over a stile, but I haven't done that yet.
At the top it is a fabulous view, there are bilingual plaques situated around the castell giving information on Prince Llywellyn who ruled Gwynedd from there. If you have been to Castell Dolbadarn, then this one is a must. A bigger area to explore, but much less intact.
There is a free car park just off the road, but only spaces for around six or seven vehicles.
