点评:A small museum you must walk through the shop at the front to enter. It does a fairly good of detailing how the Flam Railway came to be through to its present day. It does this by displaying written information boards, small dioramas and actual objects from its construction and operation. It's quite tightly packed inside, so must be a job to walk around when a tour group all descends at once, but it follows logical route through. Yes some of the mannequins and scenes are perhaps a little old and tired, but I think that adds to the museums charm.
Overall I learnt quite a lot, so take a moment to have a read through - a nice touch is that there was large print guides available to take round with you at various points. I spent about 45-50 minutes reading through everything.
At the end is the small engine room, and besides having some actual rolling stock and engines of period, also has a small model railway of Flam. Brought back memories of seeing the 'Miniature Wonderland' model railway in Hamburg. Overall it's worth seeing!
On a side note, the gift shop at the front has more merchandise relating to the railway than the many of the other gift shops in Flam.
