点评:While I personally have not struggled with alcohol or drug addiction, I love people that do. It’s amazing to think that these two men set aside their pride and opened their home to uplift others. One decision has helped alter the course of millions of lives! And, to think that it all started in my home base of Akron, Ohio!!!
When you visit, plan to park on the bumpy brick street. There are a symbolic amount of 12 steps to enter the front of the home. The gift shop is in the home next door. Both homes have restrooms available for use. While it is free to visit, they do have donation bins set out with a recommended amount of $5. They serve coffee and cookies in the kitchen, and the plants outside are gorgeous, and attract butterflies and bees! Stay as long as you like, and don’t be afraid to ask the volunteers questions. “Welcome Home!”
