点评：This is a wonderful museum and the awesome experience is that you can actually go to the deck of the ship Fram ( claimed to be the strongest wooden ship ever built ) which the great explorer Roald Amundsen used in his sojourns to the South pole. Amundsen got his name etched in history as the first person to reach the South Pole. (Incidentally later in 1926 he also became on as the first to reach the North pole but with an Airship). In the museum, the very original Fram ship is the centre piece of attraction and the various pictures of those days when Amundsen became desperate as he couldnot reach North Pole by ship plus some optical displays of his various competitive stages with Scott for the race to be first to reach the South Pole, transports the viewer to the early twentieth century and injects the Thrill associated with the Great mission where probability of Fatality & failure was very very high due to the frosty Cold. The race to the South pole became a see saw one between British Royal Navy captain Scott and Amundsen but ultimately Amundsen reached 34 days earlier. Amundsen capitalised on his strategy of using Greenland Husky Dogs and also to focus on Vitamin C to sustain in his Team members' bodies by going for fresh Seal & Penguin meat.
In the Museum the Visitors are free to go on board and below deck to see the cabins, the cargo hold, the lounge, the engine room and the saloons.Indeed goosebump moments are got to be physically on the same ship which was used more than 100 years back by brave, rugged, resolute men with a mission full of Dangers!
