苏梅岛探险者的点评
点评：Me and Mrs C chartered a lovely yacht with Samui Explorer and had a four hour cruise from Bang Rak, ending with a wonderful sunset, which was a great all-round experience.
The Captain was very friendly and knowledgeable, and his first mate kept handing out drinks and snacks. At one point the Captain let me have a go at the wheel, hence the title of my review! We sailed around the local area and a few of the small surrounding islands on what is a luxury yacht (they can do trios that last a few days as there is sleeping accommodation on board). The yacht is in perfect condition and was spotlessly clean too.
The company can arrange food and drinks (beer etc) to be brought on board, and we had some delicious som tam from a local bar and restaurant which is also owned by the boat’s owner. Listening to the sea gently sploshing around without the din of an engine was very peaceful indeed, and we could see planes coming in to land nearby at Samui airport.
At one point we saw what might have been a dolphin or something similar moving about in the water, although it didn’t hang around long enough to obtain a proper identification, but it instantly got our attention nonetheless. Keep your eyes peeled folks!
To get to the yacht, the company uses an electric dingy from the beach which is very stable. Mrs C is disabled but managed to comfortably get into the dingy and then swivel into the back of the yacht, a process the crew managed very well indeed, so don’t be put off if anyone has mobility issues - this company is very attentive and their communications are impeccable.
If you are looking for something special during your visit to Samui, then look to further. You will be splendidly looked after by a very professional outfit with a great team.
