点评：Three visits in and Soul Kitesurfing keeps pulling me back, and honestly it’s not hard to see why.
The Location
Ras Sudr is one of the best kite spots I’ve come across. The long shallow walk out to the reef makes it forgiving for beginners, but there’s plenty of depth for experienced riders too. The fact that two competitive events are held here every year says it all about the quality of the conditions.
The Setup
Soul runs two spots about 500 metres apart along the beach. The main site has a restaurant, bar and a couple of shops. The second is more low key, where most of the actual kiting happens, with its own bar and food. Between the two, you’ve got everything covered. There are changing rooms, board and kite storage, a compressed air pump, and staff who help you rig up and pack away. They handle minor repairs on the spot too, which has bailed me out more than once.
The Staff
The staff are what make this place. Every beach boy is a kiter themselves, passionate, experienced and genuinely happy to help at whatever level you’re riding. The head instructor is something else, over 20 years of experience and a level of knowledge about technique and conditions I haven’t found anywhere else.
The Community
Every member of staff is from Ras Sudr and has grown up with the school over the past decade. That local pride shows in how they work and how they treat their guests.
Worth Knowing
This isn’t a five star resort and it doesn’t try to be. The vibe is relaxed and unpretentious, the food is genuinely good, and the atmosphere is exactly what you want after a long session on the water. On quieter days there are kayaks to rent and a small powerboat for trips around the area.
The Bottom Line
Whether you’re learning for the first time or you’ve been riding for years, I’d recommend Soul without hesitation. Brilliant setup, brilliant location, run by people who genuinely love what they do. I’ll be back for a fourth visit.
