点评:With lots of the North York Moors not being accessible at the moment because of fire risk and dogs needing to be on lead otherwise, we wanted somewhere for our spaniel to charge off and have his own adventure. We were told Dalby Forest would be great for this and the advice was spot on. We had great coffee and cake on arrival (if you're walking, you're allowed extra cake) and took the Dalby Beck route. It was stunning - through woods mainly, steep climbs at the start then a gentle wall down to the beck where I had a paddle with our spaniel. Then back to one of the 2 cafes for a sausage sandwich for lunch. £12 for over 3 hours parking - I don't mind paying this when you understand how much work goes into maintaining the paths etc. Well worth it to see our spaniel having such a good time and for the beautiful views, well maintained paths, peace and quiet and an extraordinary amount of funghi.
