Not safe for women travellers
Agropoli Town的点评
点评：Agropoli itself was fairly nice, but definitely would not recommend for a group of women. Four friends (mid-twenties) went to Agropoli for a week and found it extremely unwelcoming and hostile. On a daily basis, we were laughed at, shouted at, cat-called, and videoed as we walked around. Generally we were in relatively modest outfits, long skirts and high neck tops, so not even due to that! The locals (particularly men, but surprisingly also women) were not welcoming. We had a group of ~12 men in their 40s/50s get up from their meal at a restaurant to boot a football at our heads as we walked past. We will not be returning and strongly advise you do not travel here as a young woman. It felt very unsafe at night. We travelled frequently away from the town, further down the cilento coast (towards Palinuro) where it is was significantly nicer and very friendly. Maybe Agropoli would have been better in July/August when more tourists/ friendly faces were around! Plenty of restaurants but limited gluten-free.
