State Park dedicated to WW1 hero. Tours offered and beautiful river

点评：Free to visit state park focused on the life of local hero Alvin York. The Park visitor center doubles as a general store with lots of WW1/1920's type merchandise in it. You can watch some videos and see memorabilia from the movie as well. The Park grounds consit of a lot Sgt York's old farm including his house stables shack and various other buildings. Hiking paths take you along the beautiful peaceful wolf river and then through a replica WW1 trench which to be honest is underwhelming. They offer tours which i would recommend if you have the time. Overall if in the area this is a great little piece of history to check out and worth the stop. Not much else around here so make sure you got some gas and hydration. There is a little general store right by the park that makes a good sandwich.
