点评:While on an Adventures with Sarah tour from the US to Romania we met George Trandifir @ www.touringromania.com
George guided us from Cluj across the Carpathian Mountains and back in time to Maramureș. Here the people of Romania are living their best lives as they did 100’s of year ago. This is not performative, it is the way they actually live today and it is a joy to be introduced to the people and their way of life through George’s competent hands. It is obvious he is well loved among the people of remote Transylvania. We were happily shown into people’s homes, and they shared their gifts with us: how they make their wooden gates ( huge and stunning), photograph their village life, create their unusual hand built conical hay stacks, prepare wool for making their textiles and the most exquisite Easter eggs hand painted using intricate candle wax patterns. This is where George shines. He has obviously developed a close friendship with the people here and if you are considering Romania as a place to see Europe in a new way- I would recommend you consider this tour with George. You will be in great hands!
