点评：We visited the Blackpool Tower Circus during February half-term on a Saturday 1pm showing. The historic building and venue itself are beautiful, and I walked in with high expectations for a thrilling, exciting circus experience.
Unfortunately, the show turned out to be a major disappointment. It was dominated—probably around 70% of the running time—by the clown double act featuring Mooky and Mr Boo. Their extended, drawn-out skits felt endless, unfunny, and boring. They lost the children’s attention completely, and I noticed plenty of awkward shifting in seats and bored faces around us. The sketches came across as embarrassingly amateurish and self-indulgent, making everything revolve around the clowns rather than the circus.
When the actual circus acts finally appeared, they were few and far between, and felt underwhelming and predictable—things like a woman with hula hoops and a man balancing on a table. Nothing particularly impressive or edge-of-your-seat.
The entrance fee seemed reasonable for the venue, but the performance itself was complete garbage and not worth the time or money.
On top of that, the sound system was painfully loud, with heavy distortion making everything muffled and unpleasant. It actually gave me a migraine.
I couldn’t wait for it to end and would strongly advise against going unless you’re a big fan of watching two clowns hog the spotlight with subpar comedy. Skip this one—there are better ways to spend a family day out.
