点评:This was our first view of the truly rugged east coast shoreline. While on a local UTV tour, we approached the point where the rocks met the water, violently crashing against the craggy wave-cut limestone, with a little room for a cozy sand beach inlet.
According to the sign, we're not riding dunes, flying drones, metal detecting, or firin’ up the grill…We're not climbing the rocks, hunting or feeding wildlife, and we're certainly, most definitely not, in any way…swimming!!! (DO NOT LITTER either lol) but aside from all the restrictions, this actually is a very iconic landscape worth trekking to.
At the eastern edge and deep into Arikok National Park, you'll need a capable 4WD vehicle to reach the coolest spots unless you book with a local agency, and it's not a quick trip in; very bumpy and dusty, we hit Fontein Cave before Dos Playa and finished at Conchi Natural Pool, all within about a half hour of each once you get further into the park.
