Excellent Family Trip with Discover Gulmarg Adventures

点评：We visited Kashmir in May with our two young children and had a really lovely experience from start to finish. Our trip included 2 nights in Srinagar at Apple Orchid Resort and 3 nights in Gulmarg at Grand Mumtaz, and both hotels made our stay very comfortable.
Apple Orchid Resort in Srinagar was a great start to the trip, and Grand Mumtaz in Gulmarg was equally enjoyable. In both places, the rooms were comfortable, the hospitality was warm, and the food was excellent. When you’re travelling with children, these things matter a lot, and both hotels did a wonderful job of making us feel at home.
A big part of why the trip went so smoothly was Discover Gulmarg Adventures, run by Irfan. He arranged an Innova for us for the entire trip, and everything was managed very well. We didn’t have to keep following up or worrying about logistics, which made a huge difference when travelling as a family. Irfan was helpful throughout, easy to coordinate with, and gave us practical, honest suggestions instead of the usual touristy recommendations.
We especially appreciated that he took us to a reputed local place to buy traditional Kashmiri dry fruits and bakery goodies. The quality was excellent, and it was one of those small touches that made the trip feel more genuine and well planned.
Kashmir is beautiful in itself, but good hospitality can completely shape the experience, and that’s exactly what we felt on this trip. Thank you to the teams at Apple Orchid Resort and Grand Mumtaz, and to Irfan at Discover Gulmarg Adventures, for helping make this such a memorable family holiday. We’d be very happy to recommend them to anyone planning a trip to Kashmir.
P.S. There can be overcrowding at the Gulmarg Gondola ride so it is best to start early by 8 am. The tickets cost around Rs. 1800 up to level 2. This is a per person cost.
