点评：We had planned this trip for some time, and it was the start of a much bigger tour of South Africa. We became nervous on the run up because of some of the negative comments and reviews. But we needn't have worried. The trip and the train surpassed our expectations. The cabins and communal carriages are very traditional. We thought it was very clean and the wood walls, the carpets and the brass work were all well cared for. The beds were really comfortable. We didn't sleep great - but we didn't expect to. YOU ARE ON A TRAIN. The service and the food were first class. The only negative was something beyond the actual trains control. It tends to stop and start quite a lot. As we approached Cape Town it took us about 3 hours to do 30 miles, making us later than we had been told. A slight frustration, but I think out of the Blue Trains control, and more to do with a mediocre railway. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Nice to meet some locals on the train. We would thoroughly recommend it.
