Absolutely Worth the Hike

点评：Kharpocho Fort is located around 15–20 minutes from Skardu’s main city centre. To reach the fort, you’ll need to hike uphill, starting with a short off-road section before following the trail towards the top. The hike takes approximately 20–40 minutes, depending on your pace and fitness level.
There’s a small entry fee, so make sure to carry some cash with you. The views from the top are absolutely spectacular, offering beautiful panoramic views of Skardu city and the surrounding mountains.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get a sunny day when I decided to visit, but even with the cloudy weather, the experience was absolutely worth it. If you’re visiting Skardu, I’d highly recommend adding Kharpocho Fort to your itinerary. Just wear comfortable walking shoes, take your time on the uphill trail, and don’t forget your camera!
