Modern church, and Ruins of massive 4th-century basilica
Church of Agia Kyriaki and post St. Paul的点评
点评:Note: It looks as if there are three posts actually discussing the same thing ('St. Paul's Pillar', 'Panagia Chrysopolitissa Church', and 'Church of Agia Kyriaki and post St. Paul').
To me this was primarily a fascinating look at the remains of a massive 4th-century basilica. Some of the mosaic floors of the ancient basilica are quite well preserved, and very impressive, and some of the columns still stand. There are raised walkways around the site to allow good views. Several interpretive panels give good explanations of what you are seeing, and help to visualize what was once here. The ancient church must have been massive! There is a more recent and much smaller church which is sometimes open.
Admission is free. The site is about 800 m from the amazing Kato Paphos Archeological site, definitely walkable, so a visit here can easily preceed or follow a visit there.
