Very very disappointing
Perth Wildlife Encounters的点评
点评：We booked the Dolphin, Sea-lion and Penguin Island cruise. I booked this trip online from the UK in June 25 for our trip to Perth in November. We travelled by public transport from Perth and the train was fine. The instructions then say to get the bus from outside the station to Penguin Road. What the instructions don’t say is that the bus only ran about once an hour. Fortunately we had allowed plenty of time to get there so we’re okay, but I think the instructions need to make the timescales clearer.
When we got on the boat it was fine and we saw a few seals and some Ospray from a distance. Sadly we never saw any Dolphins. I know that there are never any guarantees with these type of trips. However, we have been on many such trips in the past and the boats try very hard to find Dolphins by communicating with other boats and spotters. On this occasion there was none of that and it appeared that the 2 crew were not remotely bothered that we had not seen anything. The other disappointing aspect was that we were not able to go to Penguin Island as the boats can’t land there at present due to shallow water. There was no mention of this when we checked in or when we got on the boat. In fact the announcement on the boat talked about keeping to the broad walks on the island. It was only when my husband went back to the information centre after the boat trip that we were told boats can’t go to the island and we were entitled to a refund. However, it would have been good to have been told in advance as we would have cancelled. Definitely not worth all the time and effort to see a few seals from a long distance.
