点评:Dear Management,
I wanted to share feedback regarding our recent visit to your winery this past weekend. We visited specifically because a friend in our group has been a longtime customer and has always spoken very highly of your winery. She has visited numerous times, purchased many bottles over the years, and has even hosted a wine tasting at one of our girls' nights featuring wines she previously purchased from your establishment. Based on her experiences, we were genuinely excited to visit.
Before we entered, my friend went inside to confirm that your staff could accommodate our group. She was assured there was availability, so we all came in. Upon entering, we were greeted by another employee who asked how she could help us. We explained that we were there for a wine tasting, and she directed us to the back.
She explained the tasting options—two complimentary samples, five samples for $5, or twelve samples for $10. We initially planned to purchase the 12-sample tasting to share, but she informed us that sharing was not permitted. Although we hadn't noticed the sign stating that policy, we understood and happily purchased our own tastings.
Unfortunately, that is where our experience became disappointing.
After asking which wines we wanted to try, the employee simply poured each sample without offering any information whatsoever about the wines. There was no discussion of the varietals, tasting notes, winery history, food pairings, or recommendations—none of the educational or interactive experience that typically makes wine tastings enjoyable. She appeared disengaged and looked around the room as though she had somewhere else she would rather be.
After several pours, one of my friends—the very person who had enthusiastically recommended your winery—finally asked, "Are you going to tell us about the wines?" The employee responded by saying, "Well, y'all are on the phone," which was simply untrue. None of us were on our phones or distracted, and we were there specifically to learn about and enjoy your wines.
At one point, another employee walked by offering hot pepper cheese. We asked which wine it paired best with, and the response was simply, "All of it," without any additional explanation.
Overall, this was by far the most disappointing wine tasting experience any of us have had. We expected hospitality, education, and enthusiasm about your products. Instead, we felt like an inconvenience. To make matters more uncomfortable, after providing virtually no service beyond pouring the samples, the employee placed a tip jar directly in front of us. She later complimented my appearance, calling me pretty, but that did not make up for the lack of professionalism or customer service throughout the tasting.
We wanted to share this experience because we know this is not the level of service that built your winery's reputation or inspired my friend to become such a loyal customer. We hope this feedback is taken constructively so future guests receive the engaging, welcoming wine tasting experience we were expecting.
