Amazing history in Coventry!
St. Mary's Guildhall的点评
点评：I’m staying in Coventry for the next few weeks and was looking for local sites to go see. Beforehand, I didn’t know anything about the guildhall or what was inside, and I can say I was pleasantly surprised! The building itself is a magnificent piece of architecture right across the street from the historic cathedral. Throughout the building were in-depth histories of both the building and the city of Coventry. Upstairs in the Great Hall are breathtaking stained glass windows and the massive Coventry Tapestry. Tucked away in a corner of the guildhall is a fascinating exhibit on aural history, recreating the sounds and music that would have been heard in the building over the ages. I visited during a heatwave, and the staff was kind enough to have iced water for guests. One of the members of staff, Marion, was especially kind and amazing; she gave me a list of other sites in Coventry to visit and showed me where they were on a map. St Mary’s Guildhall is a wonderful historic site that I would highly recommend!
