点评:Utterly mediocre experience in a lovely setting, so poor I actually felt a pang of empathy for all involved.
Tales after Dark made very generous use of the term "live music" to describe an old bloke with an MP3 player and, in his defence, good taste in Cuban music.
Perhaps I shouldn't have said "no rush" when asking for the bill although it is hard to grasp why we were left to stare at the (quite nice) walls with a tissue and a glass of tap water for half an hour before going to the bar to pay ourselves.
As I paid the bill I was asked how it was, "perfect" I replied. Our waiter could have presented his own excrement sprinkled with cress in one of the tiny ramekins and I'd have said the same thing, it's just the sort of bloke I am.
In fact, I'm so diplomatic that I did a quick google search to check whether old potatoes were traditional for patatas bravas, they are not.
The most entertaining thing I saw that evening was the crack of a bloke with his shorts too low on the way into costcutter to buy a more substantial dinner.
It is 8:45pm. I thought I'd still be in the restaurant soaking in the atmosphere but instead I am at home waiting for a frozen pizza to cook and justifying my expenditure by laughing at my own jokes.
