Houghton Lodge Gardens的点评
点评：Visited Houghton Lodge because some family members were keen to see it. The house itself is undeniably beautiful, with elegant architecture, well-preserved interiors, and lovely surrounding water meadows that make for a pleasant setting.
The guided tour was informative, although the guide occasionally came across as rather condescending. At £30 per person, the admission price also feels difficult to justify given what's included.
We've visited the gardens before, earlier this year, and while they were enjoyable, they weren't as well maintained as one might expect for an estate of this calibre.
Overall, it's a perfectly pleasant visit if you've ever wondered what it's like to stroll through another impeccably preserved monument to inherited wealth. Worth doing once for the experience, but the lofty admission price feels entirely in keeping with the aristocratic ambience.
