Amazing experience, even with so much light surrounding the area

点评：We did a 7:20pm kayak bio bay tour with Cayman Kayaks (they had another tour directly after), close to the new moon. The Rum Point location was easy to find with free parking. They also have an electric boat option.
I highly recommend bug spray: we wore it and still got bit waiting on the beach before the tour. Our guide Derrick gave a great laser show narration of constellations on way to the bay, and stopped to show us Cassiopeia jellyfish after.
It was about a ¼ mile paddle each way to the bay, with breaks outside the bay on the way there and back. It really didn't matter that we made sure it was a new moon, because there was so many light outside the houses surrounding bay. Still, the bioluminescence was still impressive and worth doing the tour. We did a similar tour on Vieques (Puerto Rico) and there were no lights around the area. I can only imagine how amazing the bioluminescence would be if everyone was considerate enough to shield their lights facing the water.
