Exploring fort
St. Catherine’s Island的点评
点评：This fort is only accessible when the tide is out. We decided to go and explore the fort as we walked around Tenby. There is a ticket staff member on the beaches to pay your tickets to go to the fort.
The staircase up in my opinion is risky, but it adds that feeling of exploring something interesting but do take care as the steps are wet and slippery and again uneven.
Was surprised at the fort and at how long it has been there and its many uses!
There is a lower floor which we went to explore and if it’s spider season and you suffer from arachnophobia, then look away from windows as there were some great spiders on show!
Throughout the fort there is a sign describing the rooms and uses of items inside and the fact that prisoners were given a nice bath tub was surprising to me, but looked great! (Don’t forget your bath bomb LOL!)
During our visit I didn’t come across a staff member inside, it’s a solo guide yourself around the fort which is really easy to do!
When you step inside the fort you feel like you’ve stepped back to those times and can imagine how people felt in the fort and just looking out to sea, imagining how it would feel to experience a storm there.
Certainly felt other worldly presence there during our visit, maybe it was spirits from the past, but some areas definitely got the heebie jeebies!
It’s worth the visit, but also felt there could be more to it! But really did enjoy our visit there and maybe spent 30-40 minutes there exploring the rooms and reading signs. Unsure if the roof is accessible, as there was some maintenance being carried out whilst we were there
On the way back down there’s a great view of Tenby seafront and the colourful houses and beautiful water!

在我们参观期间，我在堡垒里没碰到任何工作人员。你可以独自游览这座堡垒，过程相当简单！
一走进堡垒，就仿佛回到了那个年代，能想象到当年人们在堡垒中的生活状态；望着大海，也能想象在那里遭遇风暴会是怎样的体验。
我们参观时，确实感觉到了一种超自然的存在——也许是来自过去的灵魂吧，不过有些区域真的让人毛骨悚然！
值得一去，不过感觉这里还能有更多可探索的内容呢！不过我们真的很享受在那里的参观体验，大概花了30到40分钟来浏览各个房间并阅读说明牌。不确定屋顶是否可以上去，因为我们在那儿的时候正有人正在进行维修工作。
下山途中，可以看到坦比的海滨、色彩缤纷的房屋以及美丽的海水，景色绝佳！
