Hay-on-Wye Thursday Market Day的点评
点评：Bad start, the first Pay and Display machine in the car park only had instructions in Welsh. Second one showed which button to press to get instructions in English but didn’t take cards, so I had to use the layout of one on the other to pay for my parking, which was not, in itself, unreasonably priced.
Next, 50p for the use of the toilet, 1 unisex only, near the car park (plus a disabled). Quite a queue. Once paid and inside, not a pretty sight and the hand dryer didn’t work. The only other public toilets I saw in the place were two other single unisex toilets, same price. 3 unisex cubicles for all the visitors, really?
Next, Tourist information was shut.
By now I’m in no mood to spend any money (and we don’t apart from a coffee each later in the day). The market looked nice and the bookshops great ( I collect books) but I feel so unwelcome I don’t want to spend my money there and don’t!
