点评:Overall, the experience was good and my family and I enjoyed the day out. That said, I do feel the place is somewhat over-hyped. Yes, it is beautiful, the entrance is free, and many of the experiences are genuinely priceless.
What stood out negatively was the price versus the quality of the food we ordered. Unfortunately, the quality, portion size, and overall value for money did not justify the pricing. The food was comparable to that of various roadhouses around the Springs, Benoni, and Brakpan areas—without the hefty price tag. Considering we travelled more than 70 km for breakfast, this was somewhat disappointing.
Additionally, our waiter appeared more focused on interacting with colleagues than on providing attentive service, which detracted from the experience. That said, given that it was New Year’s, we still settled the bill, tipped, and enjoyed a stroll around the premises. We did make a small purchase from the shop, although much of the pricing felt more geared toward tourists than toward local South Africans.
Unfortunately not a place I would go to much, maybe once maximum twice a year just to ensure there is enough time in between.
Being early is beneficial as this place does get busy as the day progresses.
