East Coast Heritage Museum的点评
点评：The Heritage Museum also incorporates the War Memorial, East Coast Visitor Information Centre and the Glamorgan Spring Bay Historical Society. The building itself is historic, built in 1860 as a school and teachers residence of stone and rubble from the old military fort on Waterloo Point. In 1924 it was purchased by the community and became known as the Glamorgan War Memorial Institute. The collection is extensive and excellently curated, Local and convict artefacts, the War Room collection, an 1880 Tasmanian fiddleback blackwood billiard table, paintings by Thomas Bock and Godfrey Rivers, Quaker costumes, the Amos Family Exhibition, very informative interpretative signage and much more. We were both very happy to have met the curator who gave us a lovely overview of the collection and was available to answer our various queries.
