点评:We visited the University of Coimbra, paying an additional fee to go up the tower. This is difficult and not to be attempted by anyone very tall or with health conditions. However, this was undoubtedly the highlight of our trip. Upon reaching the top and experiencing the breathtaking view, Anicio (I believe it was his first day on the job) greeted us up the top with kindness and compassion. Assisting us to settle down after the steep climb, he treated us to an exceptional birdseye-view commentary during which we were able to learn all about the history of Coimbra, the significance of its layout and the many layers of its history. His knowledge was truly impressive and he shaped the rest of our trip with his suggestions, a truly remarkable conversation. We can’t thank him enough.
Sadly, much of the historic Sofia buildings are not open to the public, or on prohibitively restrictive opening times, so we could not go in. However, we very much enjoyed strolling down the street which has retained a certain charm pre-restoration works.

遗憾的是,索菲亚的许多历史建筑不对公众开放,或者开放时间非常有限,所以我们未能入内参观。不过,我们非常享受在修复前的街道上漫步,这条街依然保留着独特的魅力。
