Berchtesgarden Eagle's Nest hike
鹰巢的点评
点评：My daughter and I hiked up, rather than get the bus. We parked at P11 on Ofnarboden, the Scenic route above the Dokument Centre (barrier and toll to pay first). Toll was €9 for a camper van/car. The route is beautiful and worth paying the toll for.
The way up to the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagle's Nest) is clearly signposted for hikers and the trail is gravel track or asphalt the whole way so hiking boots optional. It is pretty much up the entire way, but through forests and the views just get better and better. More people seem to come down than go up like we did.
We got to the bus drop off in 1hr 17mins with one proper break on the way up. Signs say 2hrs 45mins, which is fair as we hike a lot.
It is really busy with 3 to 5 buses disgorging tourists, most of whom go in the tunnel to take the famous life up to the top. We walked up, about another 15 to 20 mins.
It was very busy at the restaurant and all over the top. There are stunnning views and extra hiking trails where I would have wanted my boots.
Food was served quickly and was fairly good but expect touristy prices.
The walk down was also enjoyed and the drive over the rest of the route gorgeous. A memorable day out.
