点评:Not the first time we have done this tour (this time with new friends) but we would go again and again. Laura's knowledge is outstanding and she presents various issues such as the wind farms and indigenous occupation with good balance and logic. Fortunately we were there on only an average wind day so saw most of the wind turbines operating, although some shut down as they are progressively being rebuilt to last another 25 years. The farming operations are only a shadow of their former selves. It is disturbing to see their decline - yet uplifting to see the protection of native habitat for the raptors, tassie devils, etc. The highlight for us is the Cape Grim air monitoring station and archive, now just on 50 years old, operated by the CSIRO. Fascinating stuff and its great to have such pristine air. We were careful not to belch - ha ha.
