点评:I really wanted to enjoy our visit to Paradise Country, but the experience fell short in some major ways—particularly around accessibility. The parking is located roughly 300 metres from the main entrance on a steep hill, which makes getting back to your car extremely difficult if you have young children, a pram, or any kind of mobility limitation. I was visiting alone with my 4-year-old and 8-month-old, and with a torn rotator cuff, the walk back would have been almost impossible.
I did mention this to the front desk, and to their credit, the staff were absolutely lovely. They organised the shuttle for me even though I had no idea it was an option. Unfortunately, I also saw many families struggling up the hill in the scorching heat, unaware that the shuttle even existed. It really should be clearly communicated, especially since the walk is unsafe for so many visitors.
If the experience is included in your ticket, I’d strongly recommend waiting for a cooler day—under 22 degrees—because the heat makes the hill even more challenging.
As for the wildlife component, if you’re mainly looking to see Aussie native animals, you’d get a much more genuine experience at Coombabah Wetlands. The reptile enclosures at Paradise Country were minimal and honestly felt like an afterthought.
The best part of the visit was definitely the kindness and compassion of the staff, and for that reason alone I’d consider returning in winter when the temperature is more manageable.
