Good venue, rude staff
The Beacon Theater的点评
点评：The venue for watching the shows is great. Nice historic theater. Sound was average if I am honest. However while staff was cordial up front they were fairly rude when interacting with them inside. The drinks later literally yelled at me because I was carrying a bottled water I brought in. She demanded I throw it away immediately because of Virginia ABC rules. Ok, fine. But inside one guy was continually monitoring phone use to where he came by and reminded us twice not to take flash pictures while the performers are on. Myself and the other patrons around us were looking at each other wondering why he kept saying that. Lastly, and this is crazy, it was maybe 15 minutes after the show, we are standing outside the theater, people are still buying merch inside and the Beacon Theater lights (which are cool) where still going. A group of probably 10 people were lining up a group photo with the theater as the background when the lady at the ticket booth literally when inside and turned all the lights off. We were all surprised and I thought it may have been an accident, but we looked through the doors and the ticket lady waived and shrugged at us, as if to say "oh well, sorry." That was very rude. And that other group taking the picture was not happy. So all that to say: nice venue for the concert, but be ready for rude people (not all of them, the people helping to seat us were extremely nice) inside.
翻译：观看演出的场地很不错，是一座历史悠久的剧院。说实话，音响效果只能算一般。虽然工作人员起初态度友善，但在剧院内他们就显得相当无礼。后来因为我带了瓶装水进去，那个女服务员竟然冲我大喊大叫。她声称根据弗吉尼亚州的酒类法规，我必须立刻把水扔掉。好吧，我照做了。不过，有个人一直在密切留意着大家使用手机的情况。他来回巡视了好几次，还两次提醒我们：在表演者登台时切勿用闪光灯拍照。我和周围的观众都面面相觑，纳闷他为何反复强调这一点。最后，这件事简直离谱至极：演出结束大概15分钟后，我们还站在剧院外面，里面仍有人在购买周边商品，而Beacon Theater那些超酷的灯光也还亮着。大概有10个人正以剧院为背景排队拍合影，这时售票处的女工作人员直接走进来，把所有的灯都关掉了。我们都吓了一跳，我原以为这可能是个意外，但透过门缝我们看到那位售票员朝我们挥手并耸了耸肩，好像在说“哎呀，不好意思”。这种行为实在很无礼。而那群正在拍照的人也很不高兴。总之，这家剧院是个举办音乐会的不错场所。不过，要做好遇到粗鲁之人的准备（当然不是所有人，帮我们安排座位的那些人就非常友善）。
