点评:My cousin & I were walking down Calle Ocho in Miami’s Lil Havana on a beautiful January Saturday afternoon and insisted we have Mojitos here.
The place is a throw back to Havana in the 50s. The store front is all open doors, so you just walk in anywhere. You thinks you stepped into the famous La Bodeguita del Medio in Havana. The decor is exactly the same as a Havana bar.
There is a live salsa band to the right of the bar. You can hear the music across the street. There are table scattered throughout the space. The bar counter is huge. There is an outdoor patio in the back with a stage, open dance space and a small bar. I can imagine this place really packs them in on a weekend night with live performers at the back stage.
My cousin ordered us some Mojitos. They were the best Mojitos I have had since “La Bodeguita del Medio” in Havana Cuba. Not only are the drinks great but there is a party vibe throughout the whole place. It was like the place was waiting for nightfall to get the party started. This place is not just a tourist trap but a locals favorite due to the great drinks and heat music.
So if you are ever in Calle Ocho in Miami’s Lil’ Havana, you gotta chill out here and have a Mojito, sit back, soak in the vibe, and grab your partner to dance to some of that kick ass salsa. You will be shopping for a Guayabera, fedora, and Cuban cigar for your next visit.
