I had an awful experience at Castle Zaman. We received an email confirming our reservation and we accepted all their rules, but the day before our visit they suddenly emailed asking for payment. We assumed it was already paid and drove 3 hours from Sharm El Sheikh. When we arrived, they stopped us at the gate and refused to let us speak face-to-face with anyone—only talking through a walkie-talkie, which felt extremely disrespectful. We asked politely if we could come up and talk to them to find something else to eat or drink since we don’t eat seafood, but they refused and insisted we either pay at the gate and accept salmon or fish, or leave. They wouldn’t even have a normal human conversation with us and spoke to us like we were animals. After driving so far, we were allowed only to use the bathroom and drink water before being turned away. If you expect basic respect or hospitality, do NOT come to this place.
