点评:Visiting Santa Teresa was one of the highlights of my Rio trip and I'm so glad I didn't skip over it. Very different from other neighborhoods I experienced in the city, including the Centro & Lapa areas which are pretty close in proximity. The area has quite an artsy/bohemian vibe and the historic Portuguese architecture was beautiful. So many restaurants, bars & stores along the streetcar's path, and lots of street life. It can be a bit difficult to get to the center of the neighborhood since it's located towards the top of a hill, and I hear that many Ubers & taxis in the city prefer not to go up there, but it's about a 1 hour walk from the Selaron Steps and is doable if you can handle the pretty steep uphill walk. My only complains about the area are how thin the sidewalks are along the main roads and how the streetcar stops running after 5, making it somewhat complicated to get in and out of the neighborhood. I don't think I'd stay here when visiting because of how isolated from the rest of the city it can feel, but it is undoubtedly one of the best neighborhoods to spend a couple hours in.
