We are from Chicago- so Brookfield and Lincoln Park Zoos... without that being said...
This is a cute little zoo.
If you are from a town that has a smaller zoo
(EXAMPLE, Evansville, IN), and you have a zoo membership.... Peoria offers either 50% or 100% discount. - Google Zoo reciprocal agreements
Yes, there is a small parking lot.
If you look at the description, it has a recommend time of 1 to 2 hours, si cars should turn over frequently.
I would say this is goid for the 10 and under crowd or adults just looking to get out and chill- overall... cute, I don't need to come back unless it is at night for their zoo lights/lantern display .... which, in the daylight- looked amazing.
Thus is nor a "flat" zoo, be prepared for gentle rolling inclines and declines.
The zoo is nestled is a larger park area.
Pavilion and picnic tables nearby.
Also nearby playground.... large. Newer, and interesting activities... let the kids blow off some steam.
