点评：I visited the Vatican for a 9:00 AM entry in November and it was absolutely flawless. There was no queue at all — I walked straight in with zero waiting. The whole process was incredibly organised, and I can’t stress this enough: you MUST book your tickets in advance to enjoy the same smooth experience. If you turn up on the day, the queue is super long and you stand for hours and have to wait.
Inside, the Vatican is every bit as breathtaking as people say. The art, the atmosphere, the history — it completely surrounds you. I also climbed to the top of St. Peter’s Basilica, and that was an adventure in itself! There are 320 steps to the very top (the lift only takes you part of the way), and it’s definitely challenging. The climb is exhausting, but the moment you reach the top, it all becomes worth it. The view over Rome is phenomenal, and there’s a quiet, spiritual feeling up there that’s hard to describe. The steps are super tight and is shared in both directions. There are some int small resting pints every so often but not many and there are usually many people waiting behind you as well as it front. It’s a small viewing platform and once you’re up, you’re stuck. It has amazing views.
The entire visit felt very moving and deeply rewarding. Everything was well organised, the staff were helpful, and being able to walk straight in at opening time made the experience even better.
If you’re visiting Rome, the Vatican isn’t just a highlight — it’s an unforgettable, spiritual, once-in-a-lifetime experience. Book early, go for a morning entry, and take your time to appreciate every moment.
