点评:Technically, where the Honoapiilani Hwy #30 ends, and Kahekili Hwy #340 starts, is the hairpin turn that intersects Honokohau Valley Road. So, a lot of points of interest (Nakalele Blowhole, Acid War Zone Trail, and the Olivine Pools), are actually on the latter hwy. The Map Box insert has many pinpoint errors. I suggest Google Maps, utilizing the satellite map feature, to plan a visit to any of these. Also, to see where the road gets sketchy. And it does!
Was here a number of years ago, mostly to photograph the spectacular scenery. During our morning drive, we encountered newly installed “pay to park” signs along the many popular turn outs and parking areas. If you a going to hike for a few hours, this may be tolerable. Paying, what? A $15-$20 flat rate at each stop for 5 minutes is ridiculous. Some places did not have these, so we lucked out there. Way to squeeze Tourists.
Mahalo.
Mahalo(谢谢)。
