点评：Our time with Ireland's School of Falconry at Ashford Castle was one of the absolute highlights of our trip to Ireland. I had recreated a trip someone had posted about on a Rick Steeves travel site, and I couldn't believe I made it happen. After arriving at Ashford Castle, we made our way to the School of Falconry for our allotted time. We really weren't sure what to expect, but we had such an amazing time. Our guide Owen provided us with a wonderful orientation, and we felt completely comfortable making our way to the wooded pathway with our very cool hawk, Aztec. We know the birds are food conditioned, but it was still such an awesome feeling to have the bird come swooping down from the trees and land on your arm. We learned so much about raising and handling the various birds at the school; they do such a wonderful job protecting these birds and educating the public about them. Thanks, Owen, for a truly life-changing experience!
