点评:We spent a divine morning at the Jagdish Temple in Udaipur. We loved the amazing architecture and the intricate carvings of the ancient temple.
Built in 1651 by Maharana Jagat Singh I, this majestic temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu is a stunning example of Indo-Aryan architecture.
Located in the heart of the old city near the City Palace, it remains a must-visit landmark showcasing Udaipur’s rich artistic heritage. Since this temple is located in the old city area, the only way to get there is by auto rickshaws.
The main entrance of the temple has 32 steps to enter the main temple. I was visiting with my 91 year old father and I was worried how he would climb the steps but he was able to climb them with a few breaks in between. There is also a back entrance that has less steps but it is further away from the main entrance.
We also met an older gentleman who volunteers at the temple and he gave my dad company while we were taking pictures around the temple. He even helped my dad go to the restroom. He appeared from nowhere and was a blessing in disguise helping us take care of our dad during the visit.
