点评：Ah Ventimiglia! Quite a contrast to the ordered picturesqueness of it's French neighbours...the town is dirty, noisy, chaotic, full of litter, dangerous driving, beggars and aggressive hawkers, it's also full of life...I liked it! But the Friday market was one of the most rubbish visits, I've had on holiday...why did I put myself through it?...The chaos began on the 8.54 train from Nice, everyone and their Aunty was coming to the market, it was rammed, I didn't get a seat until Menton!! The market itself was big, most of the stalls sold the same things - trashy, Made in China clothing, cheapo kitchenware, artificial flowers, second rate shoes and trainers, sunglasses, a few leather stalls mainly belts and wallets, 3 or 4 foodstalls selling sweaty cheese, sausages & tourist trap pasta! No exaggeration, you couldn't move! Bargain hunting wives, bored husbands and great swathes of German pensioners...almost had an anxiety attack, managed to escape to the old town - phew!
