Cusco Local Friend的点评
点评：From start to finish with an unexpected event, this was nothing short of a first class experience. Our family, including our three boys ages 15, 13, and 8 participated in their private three day Sacred Valley tour, which included Machu Picchu, based out of an Air B&B in Ollantaytambo at our choosing. We chose Ollantaytambo as our base due to lower altitude and smaller town environment.
We were met at the Cusco airport by our guide Sam who we got to know very well personally over the three days and found him to be not only an extremely knowledgeable and informative guide but a truly amazing human being. On our Machu Picchu day while preparing to return back to Ollantaytambo , there was an unfortunate train accident, which resulted in a significant delay in the train schedule as we were to leave at 3:40 PM . We amongst nearly 1000 other passengers who were stranded in Aguas Calientes while train service was suspended. Cusco Local Friend actually arranged two hotel rooms for us to rest while Sam waited in the rain at the train station. Sam called us at 1:30 in the morning alerting us that the train service has resumed, and we ran to lineup in the queue, fortunately able depart on the second train leaving Aguas Calientes. While this experience was unexpected, there could’ve been numerous other less optimal outcomes much worse than what we had experienced. We were extremely grateful that Sam and Cusco Local Friend did everything in their ability to help us and we never felt that we were “on our own “.
Sam our guide did an exceptional job at answering all of our questions and we never felt rushed while exploring. My wife and I have traveled extensively throughout the world and this hands-down has been our best tour experience. The days were never too long and itinerary pace was just perfect. A+++ job, and thank you.
