Not the experience I expected for the price tag

点评：My 17 year old son and I had the opportunity to play the Blue Monster on July 22, 2023. This was one of my bucket list courses and I was very excited to play it and with all the good things I’ve heard I wasn’t worried about the $350.00 green fees per person. I had to say that I was very disappointed with a lot of the experience. I had watched many videos from influencers on how they touted the “FIRST CLASS EXPERIENCE”. That is not what we experienced at all for the price tag. We stopped in the restaurant for lunch and quicky figured out that there was a junior golf tournament that day, that explained why we could only get a 4:00 PM tee time. We didn’t think anything of it but after reflecting on it this was the reason why we didn’t have the “FIRST CLASS EXPERIENCE”. I feel like the staff was not attentive as they were on easy street that day with the junior tournament going on. I was surprised at check in that the fee was actually $375.00 not $350.00 as advertised. I asked about that and the gentlemen said that was because of tax, I didn’t argue it because I didn’t feel it was worth our time. Maybe I missed it when signing up but it should be clear about any taxes that are going to be added to green fees. The next thing was the tee boxes weren’t set up properly, they just had the tees set up for the junior tournament. I would expect for the price tag that the course be set up with the proper tee boxes, the markers were just laying on the side of the tee boxes. There was also a drinking water issue and there was none on the course, we had to buy water from the beverage cart and she only came around twice on the front nine holes. We found that a lot of the bunkers were not raked, again I would suspect this was because of the junior tournament but if there was open play after that the maintenance crew should have raked the bunkers for public play. Last thing was the GPS on the carts were incorrect to the hole location. Again, I would suspect this was because of the junior tournament and they weren’t set to the hole locations for the day. To say the least I was very disappointed in my experience with the large price tag. I hope you take this feedback to the staff so they can improve and people can feel like they are getting what they paid for. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
