AWFUL, most insipid, lack lustre presentation of minimal servings

点评：Went to The Castle on Sunday for a late lunch, what a disgraceful experience. to anyone considering going, save yourself, go to the Norton.
It wasnt a busy afternoon (2pm) we ordered a small scampi & chips for my 91 year old mother, a standard size scampi & chips for my nephew, we wanted the pie and chips for his partner, no pies, asked for chicken, sorry no chicken, she opted for just chips ! {5 minutes later the server came back, they had found some chicken) I ordered the mushroom chilli.
after 40 minutes I had to go over and ask if we were ever going to get the food... "just being plated"
well let me tell you, i dont know how long it takes to plate 6 pieces of scampi and 6 chips (small portion) 8 pieces of scampi and approx 10 chips, and 6 chips with a piece of chicken, I have never seen such insipid looking food. I dont know where they hid the mushroom in the chilli, I couldnt find it, red beans and tomato but no mushroom{s} Mum might be 91 but she can certainly eat more than 6 chips with her meal, we actually had to order more chips (and they charged us)
it was possibly the most boring plating of food, not a garnish anywhere. awful does not do justice to the misery of the food presented.
